Oxford PU Woven Garden Fabric - Navy Blue

Polyester fabric for the garden in a classic, dark shade of navy blue matches perfectly with the ubiquitous green of plants and blue sky. The material is mainly used for seat cushions, deckchairs, swings and garden furniture. It is also popular for tipi tents, hammocks and smaller accessories such as backpacks, sachets and beach bags. The Oeko-tex Standard 100 certificate, which confirms the absence of harmful substances in concentrations that could have a negative impact on our health, means that all products can be safely used by children. Additional tests performed by the Textile Institute in Łódź ensure the fabric's popularity for workwear, outdoor clothing and infant accessories such as prams and baby carriers.

The material with a low, as for technical textiles, weight of 200 g/m² is thin, does not stretch and is characterised by considerable stiffness. Although the plain weave used is identical on both sides, the wrong side is determined by the finishing. A colourless coating applied to the surface of the fabric in the final stages of production, makes the material water repellent, i.e. it does not absorb liquids, but standing water will get through it.

The often unfairly assessed raw material, i.e. synthetic polyester fibres are extremely important in the case of our garden fabric. Thanks to them, the material is characterised by low shrinkage, high tear and abrasion resistance and low wrinkling. In addition, polyester is resistant to moisture, microorganisms do not affect it and maintenance processes do not weaken it.

The offered material has been tested at the Institute of Textiles in Łódź for safety in applications for working clothing and accessories intended for children (standards PN-P-84525:1998, PN-EN ISO 13688:2013-12, PN-EN 71-2 + A1:2014-12, PN-EN 71-3 + A1:2014-12, PN-EN 1888).
