Government knit, or jersey single, is tightly flowing, easy to style, soft and pleasantly cool to the touch. Its edges curve gently to the right and this effect is often used to create casual shirts, T-shirts, bedspreads, tunics or dresses. The knitted fabric in the timeless ecru colour is slightly see-through, so for skirts, for example, it is worth thinking about an extra layer.
A small addition (3%) of the so-called elastane improves the elasticity and resilience of the fabric. On the other hand, viscose fibres, which make up 97% of the composition, guarantee excellent comfort. Their properties remarkably similar to natural cotton fibres give the finished products high air permeability, good moisture absorption and adequate warmth.
