Nylon fabric in maroon colour is recommended mainly for raincoats and jackets protecting against wind and water. Additionally, it can be boldly used to sew backpacks, tents, screens or deckchairs. A wide range of applications is due, among other things, to the relatively low stiffness as far as technical fabric is concerned.
The visible structure of dense, transverse stripes is formed by the applied rep weave. Thin synthetic silk yarns (polyester) determine very good strength properties of the fabric both in dry and wet state. Additionally, polyamide fabric is resistant to the formation of unwanted creases, the action of most acids and alkalis and sunlight. Moreover, the hydrophobic character of the fibres and an appropriate finish give the fabric water repellency.
