This high-quality, extremely versatile polyester fabric has low stiffness, is light, thin and does not stretch. Synthetic fibres in various colours from pink to black create melange yarns, which, combined with the plain weave, perfectly imitate the uneven, elegant structure of linen. The most important property of the fabric is its water repellency, achieved by applying a polyurethane finishing. Thanks to it, the material does not absorb them, but still water will get through, it is also easy to clean it of any dirt.
The properties of polyester, which is often associated only with a negative reputation, are crucial in the case of technical fabrics. These synthetic fibres and consequently the fabric are characterised by high durability, they do not tear or tear easily, and they are not affected by moisture or microorganisms. In addition, the fabric does not wrinkle badly and enjoys low shrinkage and dimensional stability.
The Oeko-tex Standard 100 certificate and tests in accordance with the following standards guarantee safety for applications such as workwear and children's toys and prams. The melange fabric is popular for the upholstery of baby carriers and car seats, children's swings, chairs or garden tents. Handbags, sachets, bags or backpacks have also made the fabric popular. The name of the fabric suggests its most popular applications, i.e. cushions for garden furniture, deckchairs and swings, textile gazebo elements and tablecloths used during outdoor events.
The offered material has been tested at the Institute of Textiles in Łódź for safety in applications for working clothing and accessories intended for children (standards PN-P-84525:1998, PN-EN ISO 13688:2013-12, PN-EN 71-2 + A1:2014-12, PN-EN 71-3 + A1:2014-12, PN-EN 1888).
