The technical woven fabric known as Oxford PU in neon orange is mainly used for lifeguard clothing and elements of outdoor clothing. The material has been tested and complies with the European standard for high-visibility clothing. It also has an Oeko-tex certificate confirming the absence of harmful substances, which expands the possible applications and popularity of the material for bags, bum bags, sachets and backpacks, including those for children.
The most important of the fabric's properties is its waterrepellency, which is achieved by finishing with colourless polyurethane. Thanks to it, the material is easy to keep clean, it does not get wet but standing water soaks through. Synthetic polyester fibres with good strength properties ensure durability of products. Hydrophobic character of the raw material makes the fabric resistant to moisture and microorganisms, and its high pliability manifests itself in low tendency to crease the fabric.
The medium-thick garden fabric is slightly stiff, does not stretch in any direction, and the fairly thick yarns and simple plain weave create a fine braided effect on both sides.
The offered material has been tested at the Institute of Textiles in Łódź for safety in applications for working clothing and accessories intended for children (standards PN-P-84525:1998, PN-EN ISO 13688:2013-12, PN-EN 71-2 + A1:2014-12, PN-EN 71-3 + A1:2014-12, PN-EN 1888).
