Rib knitted fabric of 2x2 type included in the group weft knitted fabrics has a characteristic, ribbed structure on both sides. The material is of medium thickness, and its structure determines the high elasticity in the direction of the weft, i.e. across. The offered knitwear is relatively heavy (430 g/m2) and slightly stiff, but has a pleasant, warm feel.
The offered rib knit in mustard shade is certified with Standard 100 from Oeko-tex, therefore it has gained great popularity for children's and babies' clothing. Moreover, the fabric is recommended not only for making cuffs, neckline pleats, pockets or trouser straps, but also for sewing entire tops or skirts.
The main raw material used in its production is cotton. The natural plant fibres ensure invaluable comfort of use thanks to such features as high air permeability, good warmth and lack of tendency to electrify. Thin and extremely elastic polyurethane fibres (so-called elastane) determine the excellent elasticity of the fabric.
