Georgette is an incredibly light, airy fabric with a typical grainy, slightly rough touch. It owes its features to, among others, low density and thin, strongly twisted yarns made of continuous viscose fibres. The material is transparent, inelastic and airy.
High comfort of use provided by the creations sewn from it is due to viscose fibres. These regenerated fibres are made of wood cellulose, thanks to which their physiological and hygienic properties are very similar to natural ones. The fabric guarantees excellent air circulation, high hygroscopicity, i.e. the ability to absorb moisture and good heat isolation. Moreover, it does not tend to electrify.
The last feature makes the fabric particularly recommended for the spring-summer season. It is perfect for dresses, long skirts and casual shirts and elegant blouses.
