The structure of the offered fabric, which consists of a plain weave and thin polyester threads with a elastane in the weft, affects such properties as low weight (90 g/m2), smooth surface and delicate stretch. Silki is strongly flowing and airy, so it drapes very nice and soft. The light background colour makes the fabric slightly transparent, so for applications such as dresses it is worth using a lining.
Polyester fibres are characterised by high strength, which is reflected in the durability of the finished products. They are also hydrophobic, so the material does not soak up water easily and dries quickly. However, their high pliability means that the fabric does not wrinkle badly.
