Thin polypropylene nonwoven fabric with a weight of 15 g/m2 is light, soft to the touch and strongly transparent. The delicate material has found its main application in the production of disposable protective clothing elements such as masks, suits or caps. Additionally, it is widely used as a lining material e.g. in pillows.
The non-woven fabric is made directly from polymer by a technology called spun-bonded. The finishing has caused that on both sides of the non-woven fabric we can observe the occurrence of delicate, regular embossing. This method provides primarily high strength compared to other types of nonwovens.
